Under general supervision of the Clinical Director
of the Nurse Practitioner Service, the Coordinator of service, and the
Attending Physician of Records, the nurse practitioner is responsible
for the development and evaluation of treatment plans for inpatients.
The Nurse Practitioner assists in the care and management of cardiac
patients to include, but not limited to: admission history and physical,
ongoing assessment and intervention, and coordination of care for the
cardiac inpatient population. All essential functions performed in this

Graduate from an accredited Nurse practitioner program with MS degree.
Certified by the American Nurses Association (ANA) or by the American

Support. Successful completion of supervised three month clinical internship

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision of executive director and
in coordination with medical director, plans, directs, and implements
all clinical services, patient programs, and academic activities for
the RI Free Clinic. Responsible for clinical staffing - including employed
and volunteer staff - and implementation of an electronic medical record
system, along with appropriate adjustments in-patient care processes
and staff training. Works with other staff and volunteers to cultivate,
