COMPENSATION MINIMUM: $29.39

Under general supervision of the Clinical Director of the Nurse Practitioner Service, the Coordinator of service, and the Attending Physician of Records, the nurse practitioner is responsible for the development and evaluation of treatment plans for inpatients. The Nurse Practitioner assists in the care and management of cardiac patients to include, but not limited to: admission history and physical, ongoing assessment and intervention, and coordination of care for the cardiac inpatient population. All essential functions performed in this position reflect the age specific needs of the patient.

Graduate from an accredited Nurse practitioner program with MS degree. Certified by the American Nurses Association (ANA) or by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) to practice in the expanded role. License must include prescriptive privileges. Have completed a course in American Hart Association Basic Life Support/Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Successful completion of supervised three month clinical internship or equivalent in clinically intensive atmosphere (hospital) preferably in the area of Internal Medicine.

Clinical experience as a nurse practitioner for 2 years is preferred or a supervised clinical internship in cardiology. Must have patient care services, procedures and privileges approved by the sponsoring physician.

Obtains samples ordered by physicians for routine and specialized tests on assigned unit. Takes samples from pediatric and adult patients on outpatient units. Transports specimens and completes basic records. Nurse Manager

COMPENSATION MINIMUM: $30.86

JOB DESCRIPTION: Responsible for translating and supporting the goals, objectives, policies, and procedures of the Nursing Department into action within the framework of the Hospital’s and Lifespan’s mission and vision statements. Maintains the standards of nursing practice through the delivery of primary nursing and case management on one or more designated patient care units. Has the delegated authority to make decisions in the areas of patient care delivery, human resource management and budgetary development and compliance. All essential functions performed in this position reflect the age specific needs of the patients. Manager has 24-hour accountability 7 days per week for a specified patient care area.
The Nurse Manager reports to the Director of In-patient Nursing Services. The Nurse Manager will provide the Staffing Office with information they may use to generate reports and gather data. The Nurse Manger will also provide all budget information necessary to develop, implement and monitor the Nursing Department budget.

The Nurse Manager will collaborate with Nursing Supervisor on the evening, night shift, and week-end to evaluate patient care requirements, staffing needs, problem identification, feed-back on staff performance, and other operational issues that affect the smooth running of their unit

Bachelors Degree required / Masters preferred in Nursing from an accredited college or university with current license to practice professional nursing in the state of Rhode Island. COMPENSATION MINIMUM: $20.74

JOB DESCRIPTION: Under general supervision of executive director and in coordination with medical director, plans, directs, and implements all clinical services, patient programs, and academic activities for the RI Free Clinic. Responsible for clinical staffing - including employed and volunteer staff - and implementation of an electronic medical record system, along with appropriate adjustments in-patient care processes and staff training. Works with other staff and volunteers to cultivate, develop and expand the Free Clinic's business and clinical partnerships. Will also facilitate community outreach activities throughout the state; assist with expansion of the Free Clinic's funding base, including the preparation of specific grant proposals, and play an important role in enhancing the Free Clinic's visibility in the community.

Registered Nurse licensed to practice in the State of Rhode Island. At least five years experience in a related clinical environment or community health program. Demonstrated experience working with medically underserved populations. Previous supervisory experience preferred. Experience working with volunteers and governance boards or other oversight bodies extremely helpful.

Kid First

is looking for Spanish speaking dietitians and chefs who want to get involved in our Chef and Dietitian in the Classroom program and our parent programs teaching children and their parents that there is more in life than foods from McDonald’s. Help kids and their parents to learn about real foods, whole foods and fruits and vegetables, that taste great and are good for them. We have requests for all grade levels and parent workshops in schools throughout the state. School visits can be arranged when YOU are available and can be for once or twice a school year or more. A stipend is paid for the visits along with reimbursement for any food and supplies that are purchased.
